"Lieutenant-Colonel Duncan Stewart, of 89 Eaton Place, London, S.W., and of the 92nd Gordon Highlanders, who served in the Crimea in 1856, and in the Indian Mutiny of 1858, and who died on December 19 last, aged seventy-six years, left estate valued at £2410 14s 6d gross and at £2051 12s 4d net. The deceased was joint-author of 'The Stewarts of Appin'."
