"Another Crimean veteran dead," Inverness Courier, Dec. 29, 1903, p. 5b.   "The death has occurred at Stoneywood, near Aberdeen, of Mr James Cameron, who enlisted in the Royal Artillery in 1851, and served in the Crimean war. He held the Crimean medal and clasp for Sevastopol. He acted as tailor to his regiment, and after leaving the army he went to Stoneywood Paper works. He retired from active work about six years ago. Mr Cameron was an enthusiastic horticulturist. He is survived by his widow, a son, and a daughter."
